Description of Activities
McDonald’s Canada is proud to be one of the world’s leading food service retailers. From coast to coast, we serve delicious choices to more than 2.5 million people in over 1,400 locations every day. We’re also more than just your local restaurant. We’re hardworking small-business men and women, students working part-time, seniors getting the most out of life, and volunteers lending time to make a difference in the communities we live and work in. Advocacy days are an opportunity to demonstrate the extent of the McDonald’s Canada network by assembling a group of advocates to undertake a day of meetings with a cohesive approach around messaging and asks. The meetings will allow government officials to meet with different representatives from the company, learn about the McDonald’s Canada narrative, get exposure to aspects of the company they may not be familiar with, and be equipped with an understanding of the ways government can help, or might hinder, business operations in Canada. The BC Advocacy Day is an opportunity to position McDonald’s as a constructive government partner with a shared view of success on files of importance and to mitigate risks governments can pose on business operations. This is an opportunity for us to tell our story – both the work we’ve done in the last 56 years, but also the work we have committed to across the country from coast to coast to coast.
