Description of Activities
BGC Canada's mission statement is to provide safe, supportive places where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and skills for life. As Canada’s largest child- and youth-serving organization, BGC Canada (formerly Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada) provides vital programs and services to over 200,000 young people in more than 750 communities across Canada. Tailored to the needs of communities across the country, our national programs tackle relevant social issues, encourage and empower children and youth, and help them set a path for success. Programs include early-years childcare, before- and after-school care, drop-in programming for youth, and wrap around supports including healthy and active living, learning and career development, parenting programs, scholarships, and youth engagement.
