Description of Activities
The THS Society of Transition Houses dba the BC Society of Transition houses is a non-profit. The purposes of the Society are: 1. To provide education, skills enhancement and support to charitable organizations and other community- based organizations who devote all their efforts to the needs of women and their children who experience abuse. 2. To provide workshops and programs for the training of personnel of charitable organizations and other community-based organizations who provide support to women and their children who have experienced abuse. 3. To educate the public (including government bodies) on the needs of women and children who have experienced abuse. 4. In furtherance of the above purposes, to provide oral and written representations to government bodies, commissions and committees with respect to legislative and financial matters relating to women and children in abusive situations.
