Description of Activities
The Worker Solidarity Network (WSN) aims to strengthen and build community with workers who are often isolated in precarious retail, restaurant, and hospitality jobs. Jobs with chronically low wages, poor working conditions, and very little union representation. We engage in grassroots organizing with the goals of: (1) Building a community of solidarity for workers to fight for improved wages and working conditions, and equality in the retail, hospitality, and food-service industry. (2) Supporting workers who are in dispute with their bosses over unpaid wages, workplace discrimination, and other forms of workplace injustices.(3) And, advocating for systemic changes that will raise working standards across the retail and restaurant industry and hold companies accountable to better workplace practices
