We intend to advocate for reform to BC mental health regime, highlighting the gendered impacts of the regime as it exists and any proposed reforms. We intend to advocate for services and supports to be made available to survivors of sexual violence, including through the provision of legal aid, and the development of culturally-safe, trauma-informed and community-based health and social services. Our mandate is to use the law to create an equal and just society for all women and people who experience gender-based discrimination in British Columbia. We use law reform, litigation and public legal education strategies to make change, and work in collaboration with communities to ensure our work is grounded in the experience of those most impacted by inequities.
