Description of Activities
Husky is a Canadian integrated energy company with upstream and downstream operations. The Company operates primarily in the western provinces and offshore the east coast of Canada, but also has international exploration and development interests in the United States and offshore China and Indonesia. Upstream operations include exploration, development and production of crude oil, bitumen, natural gas and NGL. Downstream operations in Canada encompass upgrading of heavy crude oil into premium synthetic crude oil, refining crude oil, marketing of refined petroleum products including gasoline, diesel, ethanol blended fuels, asphalt and ancillary products, and production of ethanol. It also includes refining of crude oil in the US to produce and market diesel fuels, gasoline, jet fuel and asphalt. The Company also has a network of motor fuel retail marketing locations. The following partnerships, except as otherwise indicated, are 100 percent beneficially owned or controlled or directed, directly or indirectly by Husky Energy Inc.: Husky Downstream General Partnership; Husky Energy Marketing Partnership; Husky Midstream Limited Partnership (35%); Husky Blend General Partnership; Husky Oil Limited Partnership; Husky Oil Sands Partnership; Husky Terra Nova Partnership; and Sunrise Oil Sands Partnership (50%).
