Description of Activities
SWCC works to cultivate a sustainable future from a sustainable environment rooted in our culture and a thriving wild salmon ecosystem. We engage in science, research, policy review and analysis, community economic development and the review of major projects and government processes as it relates to long-term community well being. Our collective work is based on the Gitxsan principal of Gwalx Yee-inxsw which has been described to us as "we have received a full basket and it is our duty to pass the basket on, intact. It includes the tangible and intangible. It is the place from which all future generations will grow and should never be diminished in value."
