    Y2Y will advocate for science-based legislation to protect species at risk and critical wildlife habitat, and will provide briefings and reports on research conducted on best-case scenario planning, habitat protection, Indigenous-led conservation of species at risk, and other related research from Y2Y staff, partners, and unaffiliated scientists and institutions.
    • Development of any legislative proposal by the government of British Columbia, a Provincial entity or a member of the Legislative Assembly
    • Introduction, amendment, passage or defeat of any Bill or resolution in or before the Legislative Assembly
    • Development or enactment of any regulation, including the enactment of a regulation for the purposes of amending or repealing a regulation
    • Development, establishment, amendment or termination of any program, policy, directive or guideline of the government of British Columbia or a Provincial entity
    Conservation, Environment, Forestry, Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation
    Y2Y will oppose development and tenures on landscapes where there is a significant adverse impact to wildlife, habitat, and connectivity, backed by science and traditional knowledge.
    • Development or enactment of any regulation, including the enactment of a regulation for the purposes of amending or repealing a regulation
    Environment, Forestry
    Y2Y will support Indigenous-led conservation proposals and advocate for the creation of Indigenous-led Protected Areas as part of Canada's strategy to protect 25% of lands by 2025 and 30% by 2030.
