Encourage the provincial government and its ministries, agencies, Health Authorities and other entities to ensure that Canadian and British Columbia-owned and based health equipment providers are given appropriate recognition in Requests For Proposals and bidding analysis over foreign-owned, foreign-based and foreign-controlled corporations who are bidding to provide goods and services that received provincial funding; to also encourage that contracts held by such firms are put up for tender on a timely and regular basis, particularly given the recent imposition of tariffs on Canada by the United States government.
