CCUA is undertaking advocacy initiatives and discussing greater social inclusion through a partnership with the Rental Protection Fund and Credit Unions. CCUA is also advocating for greater indigenous inclusion by advocating for Indigenous representation on the Board of the BC Financial Services Agency.

The Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA) is seeking changes to the capital framework for BC credit unions from the BC Financial Services Authority (BC FSA). CCUA will lobby for regulatory relief (from proposed capital modernization regulations) in order to maintain flexibility in providing support to to regional economic initiatives, financing affordable housing and advancing indigenous economic reconciliation.
