Engage and work with the regulator and government to implement solutions for strata unit owners, including: stronger enforcement of existing regulations and requirements, amendments to the Strata Property Act to establish a standard definition of “unit” and greater transparency and reporting requirements, a cross-jurisdictional review and implementation of best practices to protect unit owners, an education campaign for unit owners and corporation boards, and action to build resiliency including stronger building code requirements.
