TIABC provided background on the efficacy of the Municipal & Regional District Tax and why it's important to keep the tax for tourism marketing, projects and programs. TIABC appealed to the Ministry to reject the District of Tofino's impending proposal to use MRDT funds for a wastewater treatment plant, and to retain the structure of the tax for its original intended purpose.
