The Act has not been changed in decades, and now BC Notaries handle a bigger amount of BC's real estate transactions since the Act was enacted decades ago. They will be speaking to the Ministry of Finance officials to start a review of the Act and then advocating for changes to allow them a greater role and responsibility in delivering services for real estate transactions.
