Modernize Presumptive Cancer Coverage We are requesting to amend the Workers Compensation Act to include all forms of cancer and lower the cumulative employment requirement to two years. BC is lagging behind other provinces and the US in covering cancers like mesothelioma, laryngeal, and skin cancer. Female firefighters also face significantly higher risks of uterine and other reproductive cancers, not currently covered.
