CCUA is undertaking activities to encourage government partnerships with other provincial jurisdictions to allow provincially regulated credit unions to operate in other jurisdictions. Currently, legislative provisions exist in B.C. to permit this activity, but no agreement has been reached.

Adopting policy recommendations to allow BC credit unions to operate interprovincially where the legislative power already exists in the Financial Institutions Act section 160.1.
