Wildlife-friendly roads: Y2Y will lobby the BC Ministry of Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure to develop, fund and substantially implement an integrated plan for wildlife mitigation along Highway 3 between Sparwood, BC and the Alberta border. Y2Y will advocate that the plan includes at least one major overpass and several smaller pieces of new infrastructure, as well as improvements to existing bridges to make it easier for wildlife to travel beneath them.

Y2Y will advocate for science-based legislation to protect species at risk and critical wildlife habitat, and will provide briefings and reports on research conducted on best-case scenario planning, habitat protection, Indigenous-led conservation of species at risk, and other related research from Y2Y staff, partners, and unaffiliated scientists and institutions.
