Improving public education and advocating for measures to address recruitment and retention issues with teachers. Consult with educational stakeholders to develop a targeted recruitment and retention plan for specialist teachers (speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, counsellors, learning assistance teachers, special education teachers, teachers of English language learners, and other teachers) to support underfunding and high caseloads for current teacher specialists. Recruitment and retention within the Nisga'a School District.
