Adequate funding of public education and concerns around prevalence model funding. Providing ongoing support for the curriculum by providing new technology, lab equipment, learning materials, and professional development supports for teachers. Provide anchor funding for inclusive education in identified needs, including dedicated funding for students in "high incidence" categories. Provide targeted funding to support the early identification and designation of students with diverse needs. Improving public education and advocating for measures to address recruitment and retention issues with teachers. Consult with educational stakeholders to develop a targeted recruitment and retention plan for specialist teachers (speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, counsellors, learning assistance teachers, special education teachers, teachers of English language learners, and other teachers) to support underfunding and high caseloads for current teacher specialists.
