Y2Y will engage with Senior Office Holders to advocate for comprehensive caribou recovery plans during the Herd Planning process, for the protection of critical habitat for caribou and other species at risk, and for the scheduled implementation of the Intergovernmental Partnership Agreement for the Recovery of Central Mountain Caribou. Y2Y will provide briefings and reports on research conducted on caribou recovery, habitat destruction and protection, and other related research from Y2Y staff, partners, and unaffiliated scientists and institutions.

Engagement on proposed Endangered Species Act (ESA), including requesting that senior public office holders enact a provincial ESA. Y2Y will advocate for science-based legislation to protect species at risk, and will provide briefings and reports on research conducted on best-case scenario planning, habitat protection, Indigenous-led conservation of species at risk, and other related research from Y2Y staff, partners, and unaffiliated scientists and institutions.
