Description of Activities:
OpenCircle National Advocacy Ltd. is a non-profit organization operating in conjunction with OpenCircle Membership Services and Workforce Development, a not-for-profit company registered under the Companies Act in Alberta (collectively, the “Organization”). The Organization provides members and their employees with access to health and welfare benefits, an RRSP program, training, public policy advocacy, scholarship and education awards, group discounts through affinity partnerships, and more. With respect to public policy advocacy, the Organization provides leadership and support for the advancement of government policies and programs that impact our members and their employees including the development, advancement, and ongoing support of the construction industry, support of under-represented populations within the industry, education and skilled trades advancement, and environmental protection.

("OpenCircle National") is a non-profit organization operating in conjunction with OpenCircle Membership Services and Workforce Development ("OpenCircle")to advocate for the interests of its Membership in the construction and adjacent industry through public policy engagement and providing resources and information to Members to help them stay compliant on emerging legislations. OpenCircle represents 1700 companies and 50,000 employees.
- OpenCircle National Advocacy Ltd. (formerly Merit National Open Shop Advocacy Ltd.) provides a wide range of services to member organizations and their employees. The core purposes are: Provide strong proactive leadership for the construction and related industry, including the advancement of a policy, regulatory and business environment that supports open and fair competition principles. Offer access to market-competitive, cost-effective benefits for member companies and their employees and families. Support the development of a stable, appropriately skilled construction industry while positioning construction industry jobs as attractive career options within educational institutions and the general public. Encourage and support programs that increase workforce participation for under-represented populations in the construction industry.
