Description of Activities:
Geoscience BC is a not-for-profit society managing and co-funding independent geoscience research in collaboration with members and partners from industries, governments, communities and Indigenous groups in British Columbia. Our public research informs decisions about critical minerals and metals, cleaner energy, carbon management and water.

Descriptions of the organization's activity in previous versions:
- Geoscience BC's independent, public geoscience is a first link in the supply chain for Canada's net-zero emissions economy. Our critical minerals and metals, cleaner energy, water and geological carbon capture and storage research is funded by industry, government, trusts and other partners. It informs evidence-based decisions by industry, governments, Indigenous groups and communities. Geoscience BC is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors, technical and Indigenous volunteers and by Geoscience BC members. We are a not-for-profit society incorporated under the BC Societies Act.
- Geoscience BC is a non-profit organization that generates independent, relevant, public earth science research and data about British Columbia's minerals, energy and water resources. This advances knowledge, informs responsible development, encourages investment and stimulates innovation.
- Geoscience BC is an independent, non-profit organization that works to build the British Columbia economy through generating, interpreting and delivering earth science for everyone.
- Geoscience BC is an industry-led, industry-focused, applied geoscience organization. Our mandate is to encourage mineral and oil & gas exploration investment in British Columbia through the collection, interpretation and marketing of publically available, applied geoscience.
- Geoscience BC is a not-for-profit geoscience organization with a mandate to attract mineral and oil&gas investment to the Province through the collection, interpretation and marketing of applied geoscience information.
