In our mission to eradicate cancer, the Canadian Cancer Society will make evidence-informed recommendations to government to improve healthy public policy that will reduce public carcinogen exposure and, or, improve treatment, screening and support services for those living with cancer. The intended outcome is that the government will consider our recommendations when designing policy which will ultimately reduce cancer incidence and improve health outcomes for those living with cancer. In 2016, the Canadian Cancer Society intends to make recommendations to improve tobacco control, reduce sugary drink consumption and improve equitable access to the HPV vaccination.
