The week of November 23-27, 2015 the Society is sending a letter to all active MLAs about a new highly addictive tobacco product on the Canadian market: menthol capsule cigarettes. In order to prevent youth from starting to smoke, the Society recommends the BC government amend the provincial Tobacco Control Act to ban all flavoured tobacco products, including menthol cigarettes and capsules. The letter will be sent via email from local Canadian Cancer Society staff within each MLA's jurisdiction.
