Introduction, modification or repeal of legislation, a bill or regulation
In our organization's mission to improve the lives of those with cancer, we hope to modify the Employment Standards Act to ensure there is an additional 17 weeks job protection for caregivers to match the new 2017 federal insurance benefit, the Caregiver Benefit. This would ensure eligible caregivers for cancer patients (and others that are ill or injured) do not risk losing their job while providing much-needed care.

As well, we hope to see an increase in tobacco taxes and amendments to the Tobacco and Vapour Products Control Act to ensure British Columbians have equal access to clean air and support to quit smoking.
