Request for legislative change to revert to the policy that existed prior to 2002 which allowed single parents to continue on social assistance while attending secondary and post secondary education programs. Intended outcome: support for these parents to qualify for jobs that will allow them to move away from social assistance. Request for government to provide adequate funding to ensure that BC's children have their nutritional, nealth and dental needs met to reverse the trend and impact of child poverty in BC and its effects on learning.
