(2) The BC Care Providers Association is seeking funding for the purpose of establishing a Quality of Life project to support seniors living in long term care, assisted living, or receiving services at home in BC. (3) The BC Care Providers Association is requesting funding for the purpose of a Safety Training and Equipment Program that will benefit front line employees of BC's continuing care sector and BC's senior population. (4) The BC Care Providers Association is requesting modification of the criminal record check process for employees in the continuing care sector of BC. (5) BC Care Providers Association intends to plan a meeting with the Minister of Health as to discuss quality assurance programs in home health and assisted living and potential for partnership/funding. (6) BC Care Providers Association intends to plan a meeting with the Minister of Health as to discuss the potential impacts of Bill 16 and share recommendations for the necessary resources to support the implementation of this legislation. (7) BC Care Providers Association plans to brief the Minister on legislation which relates to live-in caregivers.
