The Surrey Board of Trade presented a policy paper on reforming the property tax structure as it relates to agricultural land. There are many taking advantage of the tax break but not using the land to farm. The second activity relates to our request for pST products not to be charged to farmers modernizing farm equipment. Additionally, improve the incentives provided to farmers. Ensure that secondary homes can be built on farms for families if the children want to take over the farm (succession planning). - Ian Paton

Manufacturers should not have to pay PST on all inputs as it detracts from innovation, expansion, and reinvestment.
