Energy
Arranging meeting between an individual and a public office holder for purpose of lobbying
February 1 2017: Colleen Giroux Schmidt and Paul Kariya met Minister Bennett
Topic: how to keep clean energy sector going with some optimism during challenging times. We pointed out our value to BC Hydro and ratepayers and also economic base of rural BC and First Nations economies.
We asked to keep Standing Offer Program at 150 gwh; we asked for fairness in EPA renewals where our members have no other options and we offered to assist with electrification opportunities
